CDI Government Services needs an Aviation Electronics QA Inspector/Electronics Technician for a long term assignment in Columbia MD.

This job could lead to direct employment with our client.

The successful candidate will inspect; Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) items, soldered assemblies to IPC J-STD-001D Class 2, electronics assemblies to IPC-A-610D, machined and welded manufactured items, and witness test/inspect sub-systems to MIL-STDS and our clients drawings/specifications throughout a multi-year U. S. Army missile defense system contract as well as other current programs.

Other routine duties of this position are those of an Electronics Technician (DOT 17-3023.01) and Inspector (DOT 51-9061.00).

Tasks carried out involve design quality review, quality planning, quality audits and quality assurance/control (including production oversight, and test) for specialized LTA vehicle and ground processing station electronic parts.

Work is conducted in a team environment and you will be working with our clients Design Engineering, Production Planning, Production Engineering and Manufacturing team as well as with government, military and commercial customer representatives.


Requirements:

At least 6 years after High School graduation with some time in a related field of employment

This is a Hardware/Electronics Inspector position and so both electrical/electronic and mechanical skills (knowledge of machining, welding, dimensional inspection, etc.) are desired.

Candidates must be good at data entry and use of computer software for record keeping and reporting and for operation of computer controlled hardware units.

Detail oriented and possess organizational skills.

Candidates must be willing to travel occasionally to various production facilities and field sites (worldwide) and must show excellent interpersonal skills.

U. S. Citizenship is required and candidates must have a background capable of supporting application for security clearance in the United States.

Plus if you have:

Aviation industry electronics manufacturing or inspection experience.

Military experience in aircraft or weapons system electronics maintenance

Former non-commissioned officers with specialties related to avionics/electronics in any branch of the U.S. Military would be considered qualified.

Current industry 3rd party (IPC) soldering or electronic assembly credentials.

Pre-employment Background and Drug Screens will be required.
